Sunday sore

Just want y'all to know that I spent the day at the lake yesterday. Ok...that's fun. And, it was. It was an entire baseball team of 7 yr olds and their families.

But, toward the end of the day on the water, I decided to go back in time and see if I could still ski. And, after I put on two skis, jumped in the water, manhandled the rope between the skis, and said a brief prayer, I got up on those babies and skied!

Yes. I did!

However, I'm so sore today that I can hardly move.

We just ain't what we used to be. :)

Happy Sunday. I'm off to church!
Hugs~

Good for you for giving it a go. I consider it good if I go tubing ;-) I did get on roller skates awhile back, though, and it was FUN!

Fran, the last time I water skiied, my arms were so sore the next morning that I could hardly pick up my 2 year old. Ouch!

Motrin is most definitely your friend!

I will use this as a reminder not to try to water ski! Two Christmass ago I held a dance at the church for the youth. I decided that I was going to be so cool and show off my mad skillz for dancing and got on down and did the worm. Not once, not twice but three times.
Oh. My. gosh.
I could not use my upper body for like three days!
No, we aint what we used to be!

Funny! I used to love to ski, last summer I tried to wakeboard.. I did it (the only one to get up on that thing, with a boat full of dudes) And I felt like a car hit me for about a week.

Getting older is tough

Oh I'm so with you! A month ago I danced one dance at Steve's nieces wedding. I think I threw my hip out! I am old, incredibly old!

Go Fran!! The first of the year at Ladies retreat some of us decided to play a couple rounds of volleyball....oh my gosh!!! We were doing good until the college kids showed up and the game reached a whole new level...we graciously bowed out!!
Sounds like you had a fun weekend!

I am just proud of you for trying much less being able to actually stay up on the skis!!! The soreness will go away in a day or two, but the memories of still being able to do something you did when you were a teenager --- thankfully, they will never go away!

I too am proud of you! Sounds like fun to me! Hope the soreness goes away soon...at least you know you had a good workout! :-)
