Some excitement!

update to add: The meeting went VERY well and I'm so excited!! Best of all I didn't throw up! When God calls us to serve Him, lets do so with joy and excitement in our hearts!! Thank you so much for your prayers!!! He heard and He answered!

Well....I'm a little nervous and a little excited all at the same time. Don't you love those 2 emotions all mixed up together?? You either want to jump up and down with joy or go throw up in the toilet.

I have a 9:00 meeting with my pastor. That alone is kinda scary. I just had to take a deep breath over that. But, remember, I work in ministry at the church and what should I be afraid of?? I work with him all the time. I think it's just a feeling of "ICK" that just can't help but take over when you say "meeting with the pastor."

I'm hoping I don't throw up in his bathroom toilet in his office. I'm still scared. Another deep breath.

Zephaniah 3:9 "Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the LORD and serve him shoulder to shoulder."

You see, I've had a difficult time in my ministry at church these last few weeks and even months. I've learned the importance of having a team of people who love Jesus, who want to pour all we can into children and their families, and serve shoulder to shoulder to enhance the Kingdom of God .

This is what I'm coming to talk to my pastor about. I've got to vent and get some things out. And, I do believe this is 100% healthy when done with a loving, prayed up heart, and your motive is completely pure. I then need to share some things I've learned through a fabulous book called "It" by Craig Groeshel and that it's also time for me to make some exciting changes in the ministry.

So...half excited and half sick, I'll go in there and hopefully empower him and with time the whole church to work harder than ever and with such excellence that we draw others into deep relationships with God, their church, and the world!

I feel a good ole revival coming on girls!

Love you all so much. Have a blessed day with Jesus!

You are in the meeting now! (Thank God I am EST...it is 10:38 here!)

Father God, In Jesus name I just pray for Fran right this minute as she is in her meeting. Father, I ask that you would word her mouth. Let nothing be said that isn't motivated by your Holy Spirit. Father, Fran loves you and just wants to share her love with people. I pray that her pastor would receive her words as from you. God, that they would truly come together in unity, for the love of the people and hash out whatever needs to be hashed out. Father give them strategy and excitement for the body of Christ. Help them to have a focus and fresh vision. Father, move over Fran with your power and anoint her to your work in Jesus name. Amen.

Hey Fran,
I hope things went well today. It sounds like you are allowing God to guide so by that I rest assured they did. I don't know if you were reading my blog when I decided several months ago to return to my home church...but I talked with the pastor before I did and I made the promise to him that I would always come straight to him for the venting and not another. I pray for whatever adventure God has in store for you. You have definitely ministered to my heart!
Hugs to you and I pray you have a wonderful weekend!!

I am so proud of you. For real it takes courage. I have been discouraged and feel like God isn't using me but I am just seeking His face. I love you!
ps we were both born in the 70's.

Good for you Fran. And by the way, Craig Groeshel is one of my favorite authors. I read his blog all the time and have listened to him preach (on-line). He hits things right on the head for me. So, I'm not surprised that you were called to action after reading his book.

Glad your meeting went well. What a blessing you are to your church and to the Kingdom.

Much love,
~Cheryl

Oh Fran I would so love to talk to you about what your exciting changes are! I am seeking and searching for God's future plans for me! I know that I can't put in more hours in Children's Ministries, but I still don't totally feel he has lifted the call on me! I am supposed to be meeting with both pastors(How do you like that) soon for my evaluation and will be talking to them then about what I feel God is telling me! I've never had a problem speaking my mind. Sometimes not so Christ like, which in turn I immediately see this verse "Whatever happens, conduct yourself in a manner that is worthy of the gospel of Christ. Philippians 1:27! Anyway I would love to hear what God is showing you.

Gal 4:19 - that Christ be formed in all!

That is what church is all about anyway. Love your courage to bring God to many---you are!!!
Love your heart to share with your pastor. I want YOU in my church!
