Some questions

Do you ever feel like the weight of the world is crashing in around you??

Do you feel overwhelmed and simply can't understand why certain things happen?

Do you feel so scared of missing God's plan and purpose for your life?

Do you get so mad at "the world" around you that you wish you could go back in time and raise your kids in the '70's??

Do you wonder how life got so complicated and hard?

Do you wish you could do so much more than you are??

Do you ever just sit and wonder about it all???

YES! and yes, and yes, and yes, and then yes again.

Girl, this life is hard. Three years ago I thought I'd never get over the pain of betrayal and deceit. To find out someone I thought was a friend ... well, you get my drift. It was a tough time.

I didn't get it and it still hurts, but out of the ashes of that broken relationship God has birthed a desire in me for authenticity and inclusiveness that was never there before.

It's hard, but God is teaching you in these moments. Trust His plan. Look to Him and ask for Him to confirm your choices. Study His Word -- not just through a formulated Bible study, but on your own. Ask God to speak to you. You will know when you are walking in His will.

Sweet Fran,

May I just ditto everything Mary said? It was about 5-6 years ago for me, when I went through something VERY similar to what she is talking about. But I think there are periodic seasons of the craziness you describe, simply because our world is broken and we have an enemy who wants us trapped in these times.

Every time I've gone through a season like this, it's been TIME, just me and God, in prayer and in His word (with Him directing my steps in it, like Mary said) that has led me out. Other people help, other books help, other studies help...but God's the ONLY ONE who knows the way out and can heal a confused and broken heart. THE ONLY ONE. And He is FAITHFUL.

Oh. And I totally would raise my kids in the 40's -'50's. Would've worked much better with my personality. :o)

Yes to everything! Well, except the raising my kids part. But I'm sure at some point I'll think yes to that as well.
