For all my Northern girls out there

I really am in awe of you girls that are North of TN because I just don't know how you do it day in and day out with all that horrible/beautiful snow that just seems to keep coming.

I'm a big ole baby who cannot handle the temps to get too far below 32. My body becomes miserable.

Is all that snow and ice unusual for you or is this normal?? I hope its unusual.

I tip my hat to those of you who have dealt with too many school closings, shoveling snow every other day, and trying to manage FEET of snow. I'm ready for flowers and trees to bloom. Come on Spring.....I think we are all ready.

This is what we got last night and you should have heard the delight in the voices of children.

Did you see the snow in these pictures?? That is what that is. And...I took a picture of it. Sad.

Have a wonderful day!
Blessings~

Too funny, Fran. School's are closed here in our area due to snow. We have maybe an inch, but we're a big county so maybe someone else nearby has more. I'm missing my Bible Study Fellowship, though, because I've got my oldest home for the day. I'm ready for Spring, too. :-)

You are so funny! I know what you mean. It is nice to get a little. It spit snow the entire evening last night, but nothing stuck. It sure is nice to see it though!

Hope you are having a fun week!

I am with on the temp thing, I would rather stay inside and be a bear in those temps. I love the warm weather. I have to have sun.
I hope your day is great!

I'm right there with you Fran and we got none of that last night..I could see it on the radar to the north and east of us and wondered how much would actually stick. I don't like tornado alley, but I love the change of seasons and the fact that the snow doesn't come and stay and stay and the ice is far and few between. I was born and placed right where I want to be. thanks for sharing...

Snow... that sure sounds nice! Down here in southern Louisiana we don't see too much of that! Thanks for the pictures though!

Grant and I were thinking about taking a trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Have you been there? I've heard it is beautiful...

That is just too hilarious. Aren't children just the most positive little creatures on God's green earth?

I just want to hug your boys right now Fran.

Blessings, Joanne

Here's a girl from Michigan checking in. It is SO cold and I am SO sick of it and we have a LOT more Winter left. But... at least the days are getting longer!!! I have to admit the little dusting of snow you took a picture of kind of made me mad... just kidding. :) I'm praying for HOT, HOT, Humid weather when we all meet in San Antonio. I hope it's miserable! :)
Much love to you, Fran

I lived in upstate New York for 5 years and let me tell you I saw SNOW and a lot of it. I remember when I first got there, we left Tennessee and it was in the 90's, we got to New York and it was in the 30's and snow on the ground. This was in May. I learned to drive in snow quickly because they never shut anything down, here we see a few flurries and we can't get to the store quick enough to get milk and bread. LOL!!! I did enjoy looking at the snow. :o)
Love,
Patty

posted like a true southern gal!! I am in NC and LOVE the lack of snow!! Though the cold without snow just seems pointless! My boys throw a party if they catch a glimpse of a FLAKE!! :)

From one spring-lover to another!!

Gosh, you crack me up! I have to tell you that The Man went to ETSU in Johnson City and they go some kinda snow there! I would visit him and it was amazing the amount of snow they got.

We've actually had a mild winter as far as snow goes. I miss it!

Come on up some day say...end of January, beginning of February. Chances are...we'll have a bit of snow.

Hugs!

You're just too funny! Thankfully our winter hasn't been as harsh here in Colorado as it was last winter. Last winter we were literally stuck inside our home for a week! The nice thing is that for the most part it melts pretty quickly! Enjoy your dashing of snow that probably already melted! :-)

Hi, Fran.

I found your blog through a comment you left on Earen's. I have 3 little boys, too and I enjoyed my visit here today!

We live in the midwest and have over 3 feet of snow on the ground (and it keeps coming!). I am a complete wimp, too as I'm from the east coast. BUT, I'm toughening up now that we've been here for 3 winters! I hope your boys enjoy that bit of snow!

Thanks for coming by and posting Fran, I was just thinking about poasting and then I saw you had written that spell check is fix's!!
hope so I'll know soon.
I remember when I was in college in Eastern New Mexico University we would see the snow falling down at night and it was so beauitful I love looking at the snow at night but going out forget it I rather stay in side and keep warm.
I feel for you girls with all the snow you all have had up north ,although I must say these is one of our coldest winters and we don't have winters. In south Tx's.
But I am raidy for the summer now and driking Ice tea to cool off sounds good to me,marina
