Yeah baby! It's Friday and that means it's God Stop Friday!! Thank you sweet Patty for hosting this. I absolutely love reading how God is at work in everyone's lives.
Well....here are a few things that have been sweet and personal for me this week.
I have never lived in a house that had pretty flowers already there.....I mean, I'll plant things in pots for the Spring and Summer, but we've never had anything in the ground already that bloomed something....just the usual shrubs and bushes and things....So, we moved into this house in the dead of winter so we had no idea what these brown dead things would become in the Spring....and, look what we have now....HOLY COW....she is beautiful and I could stare at her all day long!!
Don't ask me what it is bc I don't know. My guess is that she's a rose bush of some kind bc of the thorny things on the branches and leaves. No...I don't have much knowledge in the area of horticulture....I just know what I like and don't like...and does it live in sun or shade! :)
Ok, another thing that happened for me this week......the Lord told me over and over again to CHANGE MY ATTITUDE in an area of life that can get me so bloomin frustrated! And, who other than your 7 yr old to teach you the concept of a good attitude. You can find that post below.
Also, the Lord has been teaching me the importance of taking care of this body of mine. It is the temple of the Holy Spirit and I need to be better at taking care of it. If you want the name of a CD teaching from our beloved, Beth Moore, I'll email you the name of it. She taught on this subject a few years ago at a conference in Las Vegas and it is OUTSTANDING!
Finally, I got to sleep in a very small twin bed last night in the room with one of my boys. One of the kids was gone on an overnight field trip and the other one WOULD NOT sleep without the other one there. How sweet is that?? So, I had the joy of going to bed at 8:30 with a darling little boy who tickled me to death once it was time to go to sleep.
He said "I love you mom" at least 10 times. He tossed and turned and tried desperately to get comfy. I snuggled right in and had no problem with that. He made some hilarious noises that I don't know what they were or where they came from!
A truly sweet time to be with him at night, but to also lay in that "empty" bed and pray for that son who was gone.
Hope you have a great weekend. Watch and listen for God. He's everywhere and in all things!
Hugs and blessings~

Fran this is just a great God Stop!
Your rose bush is beautiful!! I could stare at it all day! I understand about moving in winter. We moved at that time and I wasn't sure what we would have but so far no flowers but beautiful shrubs. I am going to plant flowers next weekend!!
How sweet to sleep in your son's twin bed and I just smiled when you wrote that your other son told you he loved you 10 times!! My sons are like that and they are 17 and 19. See, boys can be sweet to their moms. hehe
Have a wonderful weekend and I prayed for your son's travel safety!!
Oh, God has been speaking to me about my body, too. He is leading me to drink more water and I took the dog for a walk. I mean, she took me for a walk!
I loved your post today. I have been reading your blog for several weeks now, & I always leave it feeling inspired & uplifted from your spiritual aspects.
I also enjoy your sense of humor.
It always brings a smile to my face.
I'm not sure, now, how I came across your blog. I know it was from you leaving a comment on someone else's blog.
I saw that you were from TN & that always perks my interest. Along w/ Nashville being my husband & I's favorite place to go (which we do about 4 times a year), our son recently moved to the Nashville area to start a new job. So, I am drawn to people that might live nearby. So, that's why & how I began checking in to your blog.
I would love to know what church you attend and where it is. My son is in the process of church-shopping.
Sorry this post is so long.
May you have a blessed day.
Sincerely,
Jackie Carl

I don't have a green thumb at all. I want flowers in my yard, but don't know how to take care of them. Yours are beautiful!!
Blessings in Christ-
I soooooo needed this today.
Thank you! Please pray that I get my 'tude adjusted as well. I am needin that in a BIG way!!!
And, yes, your flowers are beautiful too! I do NOT have a green thumb in any way at all! Dying is a form of self defense for the plants around here. Outside, where hubby tends to 'em, they are good, but they don't have a chance inside.
Thanks again!

Aren't we grateful that the Lord loves us enough to constantly be teaching us, molding and refining us into who He wants us to be! Don't you just love those special moments with your boys...so sweet.
I wish I could tell you more about your flowering bush, but I have absolutely no horticulture expertise either. It is a beauty, though!
The time with your son sound so sweet. I love cuddle time with my boys!
Such a lovely God stop, love you sweetie.
I really enjoyed your post today! How sweet to get to sleep near your boy and pray for the one that was gone. I have done that also. Although I only have one boy I do have two kids. I got to meet my son's new girl today! It was so exciting. Anyway, loved your God Stop Friday!
She IS a very beautiful bush.....I would have thought she was in the azalea family until you said thorns.....not that I am a gardener or anything.....Like you, I just know what I like.......my little one sleeps upstairs and his bed is a twin bed - he has the coziest and warmest room in the whole house! I love to go up there and snuggle down with him!!! One day he will be too big to snuggle with---ugh!
Oh so many God Stops! The flowers are beautiful! I tend to kill flowers! and the story of sleeping with your son! So sweet! I love your son's relationship too! He couldn't sleep without his brother! Probably would never admit that!
