Our bible story behind VBS today is the woman who was healed when she touched Jesus clothing.
Don't worry, we don't tell the children she had been bleeding for 12 years....can't you hear the questions now??? But, our focus is to be BOLD!
The woman was seen as an unclean woman for these 12 years, but had strong enough faith to fight through the crowd to touch Jesus.....hoping for healing. This woman had some boldness, determination and some serious faith.
Jesus knew that power had left his body even though he didn't see who touched him. She boldly came forward, fell at his feet, and explained what she had done. Jesus response to her was, "Your faith has made you well. Go in peace."
I want that boldness. I want that faith. I want that desire or need of mine to be healed by Jesus. I want to fall at his feet. I want to share that faith with others.
1 John 5:14 "And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."
I pray for you today. I pray that we all have that beautiful boldness and the amazing faith we need to go after our Jesus and share him with others.
Hugs and blessings~

I've been so low in past two years that all I could do was reach up to the hem of His garment. We received the call last night we've been waiting for---Isaiah 65:24 before we called, He answered. Hope your lesson goes well---these kids are such concrete thinkers. Oh!
Fran,
I too want that kind of boldness and amazing faith! Thank you for sharing your daily lessons with us!!
Blessings

Me too! I want that too! Sometimes I have it & am expecting it & God goes a different route. Like with my house, I was praying for an amazing miracle in a price of a beautiful home. But, what I learned is that sometimes God doesn't answer the way we thought & the miracle comes in the everyday provisions....I should blog about that! Have a great day friend!
Me TOO!!! Lord, give a bold faith. :)
And YES! I think you would have had some serious questions if you had told them she had been bleeding for 12 years! Oh. My.!!!
love you!

Oh I want that boldness and that faith! I need to keep reaching for Him though. The woman took action, she reached out to touch Him. Sometimes I just expect Him to act without me doing anything!
Thanks for this post.

I want that too
oh, Fran I love these post I too at times in my life felt like if I could just touch him I know I would be heal but that women was lucky to have Jesus walking by and to have that boldness in her already wow that says something Jesus must have been one strong person to be around !!!
love. marina
Hey Fran...
I will be looking for you in the crowd in Louisville :) Will be praising God with you from afar... Blessings, Kim
I'm sort of struggling with this right now, as one of my very good girlfriends is in stage 4 cancer, only having found out about it a couple of months ago. I want to pray for her healing, and I do, but I never feel confident that God will absolutely heal. If he spoke to my spirit and told me to be bold in asking that for her, I would, but I don't. It makes me very confused, and I've been walking with the Lord most of my life. Just being honest.
First time I've visited and love this post! I too crave that boldness, yet I end up standing and smiling instead. One day....
Such a sweet story of boldness, with just enough faith to reach for help. I so picture that woman, hand extended, thinking, "maybe...He can...will He?...please Lord..."
He is so good to us. Praying for your final day at VBS, for much Grace as you extend Christ to those precious ones. Love, Annette
