This is hard, but well worth it!

Ok, this is gonna be hard people. H-A-R-D. The hard part is going to try to explain without giving details because if I gave details, I'd have 20 people instantly on the phone with me yelling "WHAT?" And, it's also not earth shattering.....just family stuff.

So, now that you have no idea what I'm talking about, let's dive right into this....

Prayer....decisions.....getting the kids involved in this HUGE family decision. *gulp*

This is what happened......God laid on my heart something a short time ago that I shared with hubs. He was like "Ok, whatever, sounds good, let me know how that pans out." It wasn't that extreme, but you know what I'm talking about. This thing God put on my heart effected all of us, but it was something God chose to share with me...mom....woman of the household first.

I began praying about it immediately and you know what God did? He ended up messing with things in hubs life and now we are BOTH praying about this thing. Of course God would get hubs in on it...head of the house and all. And, I'm so glad He did too.

Well, by complete accident and through an outside source, the kids found out the thing that we are praying about. Now, you might ask, "huh, what, how can the kids find this out?" That is where I can't go so you'll just have to skip past that part of the story.

Moving right along....last night we had to get it all out in the open with the kids because the outside source brought the thing out in the light. Now, I'll tell you one thing, this is where I got a little freaked out because my first thought was "NOOOOOOO, the kids can't be a part of this decision for our family! This is a decision for me and hubs to make."

God is ready to get our kids involved in this one and I'm a tiny bit excited because guess what will happen?

1. We will all pray about this as a family.

2. They will begin to see how God speaks to them, to us about this situation.

3. They will learn perseverance and commitment to prayer.

4. They will learn to trust Him to see us through.

5. They will learn to go with God regardless of what they think they want to happen.

This is their first experience to do this thing with God on this level and I'm soooooo excited about it. We have already had the most amazing and sweet conversations I've ever had with them about God and how He'll pull this off for us.

We are learning some faith on this one. We are walking by faith and not by sight. Praise you Jesus for the work you are doing in my entire families life right now!
Hugs and blessings~

It is so worth it to have the kids in on something big for the family. I have so enjoyed listening to our kids talk about God's plan for our adoption. That is some big stuff.

God Bless your decisions...

Jesus, Hold Fran and her hubby close as they pray and seek you in this family decision. I ask that you show each one of her boys individually, in ways each one can understand that you hear them and answer prayer. May their family be forever changed as they seek you together. amen

Praying God will open wide every door He wants you to pass through and close shut those he doesn't.
May He be more real to you and your family than ever as they see His hand.
Blessings,
Linda

I am praying for your family. In my experiences in life, the hardest things have reaped the biggest blessings. They are the things that drew me and my family closer to God and to each other.

I just wrote my new memory verse for Feb.1 on my index card after doing a devotional with my son. Isaiah 41:10~ So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Love you,
Melissa

I can distinctly remember when my parents would ask us as children to hear God for the direction our family was supposed to take. It developed the relationship I have with the Lord now and I Love that I am confident that I can hear HIM. one time in particular My brother felt a song in his heart, my other brother got a scripture and my little sister got a vison from the Lord just by praying together and taking a few minutes to be quiet and see what God would say they all connected and confirmed something we as a family were supposed to do.
HE WILL SPEAK!!!

So is this something you and I have discussed a while back? I'm so dang nosey..you know this is freaking me out..lol

Aside from my busybodyness, I'm so excited to see you storm heaven as a family. This was a HUGE thing for us when God moved us to our current pastorate. I can't describe how important it was for the kids to feel some ownership in the decision we made instead of knowing it was determined without considering their feelings.

Praying for you girlfriend!
