Oh my word. I think I just took a little bloggy summer break. Good for me!!!
I will have you know that we have been busy...doing what? Not sure, but we are busy!
It's hotter than hot outside.
The kids are playing some good baseball and I never get tired of watching them play!
I'm ready to start Me, Myself, and Lies with the LPM blog. I've missed being in Bible study.
I just saw a commercial for the Potty Patch for dogs. Its like a big chunk of grass in your house where they can go to the bathroom. HUH?
I love my new crackberry phone *grin*
Sometimes it's hard to be a leader. You may not be liked at times.
I'm reading Same Kind of Different As Me right now. AMAZING story. Highly recommend it.
I haven't been on vacation yet. We like to go smack dab in the middle of July when it's the hottest down in the gulf coast.
And one confession....I haven't unpacked one ounce of the kids backpacks from a month ago when school ended. Obviously I'm done with school.
Ok, that's enough of fun tid bit information into our world.
Hope your summer is going well!
Love y'all like crazy!
Hugs and blessings~

I've got to get my workbook for the bible study.
What part of the Gulf and when are you going? We'll be in Panama City Jully 11-18.
I love this random list! And yes, it's hard being a leader! But if God has called you to it ... well, you know the drill.
Don't worry about those backpacks. I used to buy the girls new ones each year and we'd never look in the old ones until we were desperate for a colored pencil or something.
Now that really didn't make a lot of sense, did it? Off to drink more coffee.
Read that book at the lake one afternoon by the pool. Had to blow my nose on the beach towel and got a funny look when I sobbed out loud.
Thank goodness for big sunglasses at least!
Joanne
Loved this post because your bullet points are 140 characters or less. ;)

Hey there, sweet Fran! Glad y’all are enjoying your summer. I haven’t unpacked one of our suitcases from our Branson trip at the end of May. How sad is that? I just keep adding to it each time we go out of town. I’ve been looking at the Blackberry, but not sure if it’s too much of information overload for me or not. Yes, it is hard being a leader because sometimes you have to be brutally honest, covered with much love. I’ve wanted to read Same Kind…for a long time, so that is a must read this summer for me. I’m reading Self Talk, Soul Talk right now and can’t wait for the Bible study to begin either. I talked hubs in to going to Fort Lauderdale in Sept for our 10 year Anniv!! YES!
Hey darlin' Fran! Enjoy this lazy, hazy and HOT days! Forget the backpacks - forget it ALL, except God, your bible study and all your boys!
Love you,
Melinda
Hey there Fran...
Sounds like you are having a good summer.
I also read "Same Kind..." and I cried...what an amazing story..challenged me with some of my views in a very good way.
I will be heading south to Florida for our vacation when it is oh so hot...not looking forward to the humidity in Florida, but seeing my family will override the heat issue :)
Love ya sister, Kim
Hey Fran!! How in the world are ya? We have had VBS this week, and our church secretary is gone to her daughter's house so she can love on a brand new bundle of baby boy, so I am doing double duty! Whew! That was a terribly long sentence...sorry! :)
Anyway, I have read this book and I loved it. My pastor has mine, but I don't think that he has gotten to it yet. I loved it! :)
As far as leadership goes...AMEN SISTER! I feel your pain. Our pastor uses the saying, "Leadership is lonely", and it can be. It's too bad that some can't be happy with anything!
Oh well, I'm more about pleasing my Savior than I am about pleasing man! ;)
Hugs!
Love ya, Darlene
Fran,
I just finished "Same Kind of Different.." last week. Wow! What a powerful book.
I am looking forward to the Bible Study too. I miss it so much when I am between studies.
It is hotter than hot in Texas too. August should be fun!!
