Loneliness. Ugh.

Hi friends...

Just a passing thought on this hurried Monday morning.

I'm lonely.

I'm lonely because we are homeless when it comes to church. Sort of but not really. We have been visiting this church and we absolutely LOVE Sunday mornings of worship. This particular church has community groups and because we aren't members we obviously don't have a community group. I'm not in a bible study either.

Boo hoo. Woe is me.

I've learned just how much I need people. And I mean spend time with these people in a closer setting.

It ain't happenin' around here and I'm lonely.

We were made to be with a body of people, especially when it comes to church.

I'm adding any of you to my prayers that might not have a church home and are feeling a bit lonely.

Hugs and blessings~

praying for you and your search for a home church.
We've been there -- it's tough, but God has a plan!

You are precious!

I get what you're saying.
And this post makes me sad.
I might or might not be getting in my car to head to Jackson.
Except I can't because I can't be back by 12:30 carpool.
And that makes me sad.
April, please come sooner. You can cut in line before March. We give you permission.
Stupid distance.

I love you, friend. Just wanted you to know. This post hits home. I think we all feel this way sometimes and most times we aren't brave enough to say it.

You are brave!

Just about 110% positive I could not love you more. I so very much wish I could hug you right now and make it all better. I have walked the church family barren road and it IS hard, but you KNOW who's path you are following so you KNOW He will not leave you alone.

I pray that you understand that someone way up North is walkin this with you - at least in my heart and my prayers.

Honey girl,

You KNOW I went through this all this past year. We've finally found a church that we are calling home, but we've yet to become connected in it with the move, etc., taking precedence. It IS a long, lonely walk, but it's shown me the same thing: WE NEED PEOPLE. WE NEED RELATIONSHIP.

And, well, we need it NOW.

Continually praying for us BOTH in this area...there's a reason for this season.

Love you,

Seriously, that is such a horrible feeling. I pray that the Lord will plant you very, very soon.

I remember when we first came to Colorado, that feeling of loneliness, after being connected in a church for over 10 was hard. Fran, my friend, I am praying for you to find not only a home, but a commmunity of believers that challenges you and blesses you beyond your wildest expectations.

Much love from Colorado!

I followed a siesta/twitter rabbit trail and found you here. Hope you don't mind!
I think I relate more than I want to on the homeless issue. We are technically without a home church, too. We still worship where we always have, but because of some recent changes we now find ourselves on the outside looking in. I'm still whirling at how it all came about. Change is hard for me, even when it is somewhat welcomed. Okay, that didn't really even make sense. Anyway, I want to get on with praising God and worshiping in true fellowship! Pray for each other...

Can I just say, "been there, done that." Upon reflection it was a good, although uncomfortable wilderness experience for us.

Right now I'm going through some of my own major changes and frankly that's just scary. I like certainty, but that's not the road God has for me right now.

How about this. I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me!

Much love,

So sorry, Fran! It's so hard not to just find a church, but in turn actually find your "fit" in the church and have true fellowship. I pray that this time is only a time of strengthening in your relationship with Christ. And praying that SOON and very SOON you'll be exactly where he wants you, flourishing!

Hi Fran.... Having recently moved to a new city (and spending a Saturday night surfing blogs) I came across your post. Finding a new church home can be such a trying time ~ especially with children! I pray that your family finds just the place the Lord wants you to be. We've found the church but are yet to plug in.... friendships are so key to feeling "at home" at church, don't you think? Hoping tomorrow morning your search will take you to a wonderful place of worship!

I blog so you can get a glimpse into my life as wife, mom of 3 boys, and someone who simply wants to bless others along the way. Have fun and be sweet :)
