Is she not the most beautiful little girl you have ever seen??? She is a slice of heaven to this momma's heart......she has my heart.
Please meet the newest member of our family.....this is Sofia, and she is a wonderful 5 years old and lives in Uganda in Africa. I'm in love with this child thanks to Compassion and the work they do to help children all over the world.
We signed up to sponsor Sofia at the end of many months of work between God and myself. It all came to pass when the blogging community went on a Compassion sponsored event to Uganda and began to share their stories. I knew at that moment that God spoke so sweetly into my heart and said...."These are my children, Fran. I need YOU to give them hope."
Ok. I get it now. I pray that you will check out Compassion or these 3 bloggers, Boomama, Shannon, or Shaun and read about their AMAZING journey last week. I'm blown away.
I have 3 boys AND a daughter now. She IS a part of this family. And, she is a part of a global family that needs our help. If you are able, I pray that you will consider sponsoring....I call it adopting :).....a child through Compassion.
Blessings and love my friends! I love you Sofia....we are praying for you and can't wait to get our 1st letter in the mail to you!

Fran,
That is so priceless and yes she is beautiful!!
WE have 2 little boys 8 and 4.
We pray for them everyday and talk about them all the time.
My 4 yr old calls them his brothers in a far off place - cracks me up!
God is so good!
Love ya,
Kim
That is so cool. She is pretty. We need to do that. I have started talking to the kids about it. Eric and I think that it would be good for them to be a part of supporting a child along with us.
I'll have to add Sophia to my prayer journal.
How very precious she is my friend.
She is beautiful and I can't wait to hear lots of stories about her!
These bloggers captured my heart and prayers last week, and I can not get those faces out of my mind.
blessings,
steph.
That is awesome! I know she will be a welcome part of the family. Love it!
Finally a girl in the family besides you! I love it! What a gift you are giving her. Just think of the impact your money, letters, etc will have on this child.......this little girl will associate you with Jesus! Your family may be the very people that lead this little girl to the Lord. Awesome, Fran, just awesome!
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
So thrilled for you and what you are doing for your God! We'll get to meet her in heaven I believe because of you. Last night I went to James Robison's live taping with John Eldredge and every time James showed the tape of rescuing little girls in Thailand, yes Thailand, where he is building the House of Destiny, I wept. I was an emotional mess on the front row and I'm sure people wondered why I was crying at John Eldredge. So touched by your generosity and grace! May He multiply more grace on you! Bev
PS - it's been one of the most challenging days for me, so pray!
