Some freedom please!!

Hey friends...
Ever since the fab teaching by Mama Beth....I have really had to take this one apart piece by piece. There were so many things that I just wanted to scream.... "HEY! Lets stay right here on this one and camp for awhile!" That didn't happen.

Usually when that does happen, I know I need to go back to it later and spend some time there.

Galatians 5:1 "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

Do you know how much and I how often I go back to that stupid yoke of slavery in certain areas of my life??? It gets on my LAST NERVE!! Some things I am free from...some things I'm just not. Anyone else out there??? Its exhausting isn't it???

"He came to set me free. He came to set me free. He came to set me free."

That is almost what I have to do. Say it over and over and over again. And, now, the 2nd part of that verse is my favorite. I definitely do not want to be burdened by that stupid yoke anymore! It is such a dern burden. Read that 2nd sentence again. Good huh??!

We can be free. We can. He came to set us free. Let's just do this thing once and for all. Let's live out that freedom.

We CANNOT sit back in passivity and let someone else pray for us, talk to us, encourage us again and again and again. People get sick of that. And, so do we. HE CAN CHANGE OUR LIFE. HE CAN CHANGE OUR GENETICS. HE CAN TURN US INTO A NEW CREATION!

I so badly want to walk in the fullness of Christ. I don't want to live a "less than Christ" life. He has a plan for me. I don't want to miss my calling and I sure don't want to miss out on anything He has in store for me.

So....remember, you are an heiress of God and the down payment has been made. He came to set us free!! I am marked with His name.

I'm done with the old. Let's usher in the new, Jesus! I'm so ready!!

WOO HOO!!!! Let the good times roll....

Amen! Something else Beth said about this that really hit me was how it frustrates her when people stay defeated and in bondage when we have the power of Christ in us! It's already in us, but we have to stand up and believe it and receive it! I'm with you, Fran, I'm done with the old!

Blessings
Michelle

We are free! and Oh how I want to grasp that in my deepest place... to live out of that reality!

SO why do I still crave affirmation? Why am I insecure? Why do I so badly want to be known?!?!

When Mama Beth said, "That our theology has not become our reality as long as we walk in insecurity" I thought WHOA!

She is right... put down that shield of faith and Satan is all over it! I too want to fight the good fight! To be over and done with all of these insecurities! To be free to walk in His fullness! Can you even begin to imagine the freedom!

I think that is why I love Beth so much! She has done the thang! She is free! I wish I could sit down with her and just have a heart to heart on all of this!

Anyway I was just praying about all of this this am... then I read your post! I love how God works!

We are Heiresses! Adored, Cherished, Loved, Chosen... on and on... marked with His name and Holy to the Lord written across our forehead! So lets live like it!

Help us too Lord be done with the old and usher in the new!

Woo Hoo! Love you Fran!

I love that verse! I remind myself of it every time I feel tempted to slide back into the bondage. I think getting free is kind of like peeling an onion. There are lots of layers and sometimes you cry.

Excellent recap my sweet friend!

I was telling another friend of mine that my returning from SA was sort of like Moses' return from atop the mountain - we both came from the Holy Presence of God, down into complete chaos! :o) It's good to be catching up on all my blog rounds! Hope things are well in your world!

Oh - I'm so glad you're using that picture from the Fiesta for your profile picture! I LOVE it!

Hugs,
Melinda

Fran,

This post is so powerfully spoken and the truth resonates that FREEDOM indeed is an active pursuit. We must seek that which God sent His Son to deliver to us.

My heart's cry this year has been to be completely free to be completely His - sold out 100% ...

I am working through to Freedom one issue at a time - thank the Lord my issues grow fewer with each passing opportunity. Our church has a wonderful ministry focused on Freedom through healing and recovery ministry. I will be leading a group in the area of grief this fall and pray that freedom comes to many as a result.

Blessings to you and your heart to know and serve God in complete Freedom. He is loosening your chains and shaking the prison to set you free... Blessings.

The idea of new genetics really struck me too... I am so guilty of living as though nothing changed when God got ahold of me.

I blog so you can get a glimpse into my life as wife, mom of 3 boys, and someone who simply wants to bless others along the way. Have fun and be sweet :)
