Back in 1970 when the good Lord formed me in my mothers womb....He left something out.
PATIENCE.
I have none. Well, ok....I have some, but it would be considered to be on the low end. And, that makes life difficult. You know.....kids, jobs, deadlines, hurry, hurry, hurry, errands, bills, relationships, go, go, go.
Sometimes its just real hard for me to settle down and WAIT. Even typing that word out, put a knot in my stomach. I'm a do-er. I like to get things done and go 100 mph.
Right now...God has me in a season of "WAIT FRAN." It's about to kill me. KILL ME I tell ya.
Funny how He does that. I know the wrestling match that He and I are in, but I'm so tired of waiting for Him to shed some light on the subject matter.
Then someone said something that was straight from God Himself...."Don't go ahead of God."
DON'T GO AHEAD OF GOD!!!
If you are having to wait on something. Go ahead and wait and let Him give you the green light as to what to do next.
As our beloved Beth Moore would say..."Just perse-dang-vere!"
And, let me say...that is exactly what I'm doing.
In the name of Jesus...."perse-dang-vere!"
James 1:2-4 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
Colossians 1:11 11being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience....

Girl, can I get an AMEN on the PATIENCE PROBLEM!! Jesus made me fast-paced, but He didn't bless others with the same skillset!!! MAKES ME CRAZY!!
Thanks for the reminder this morning.
Love you!
I so needed to hear that today my friend!
Blessings
Michelle
LOL
I love you Fran
You are real and wonderful
I can so relate b/c this is the one thing God has to work with me on all the time (not that there are not a ton of other things too but this is the most common)
Love ya sweet friend
Kim
Okay, I must be in the same season as you, Frannie!!! Oh my!!! I am, slowly (notice the word choice) learning to wait on the LORD. I do not like it and at times want to just lay down on the floor to kick and scream--a regular old temper tantrum. I am however, "growing" and part of that process is learning to wait on His timing. Seems so easy, right? Hang in there with me Fran. I know we can as you say, ."perse-dang-vere!"
I am with you! I have been there and done that and there again. I have been waiting for something for 2 years. I have learned through my life, mistakes, that going before God is disasterous. Praise God , he gets us back on his path. Praying for you!
Love you,
Patty
Look at these 2 words:
FAITH
WAIT
"3 fifths of faith is in the wait!"
Mama Beth said that in her "wising Up" bible study!
I am THERE with ya! Thanks for the encouraging words and the reminder I'm not the only one! Last year in bible study (I'm sure it was Beth's) she said when we're lacking in a spiritual fruit (ex.- patience), we don't need more patience, we need more Holy Spirit! I'm trying to remember that.
love you franny!!!
interesting post.
so when the Good Lord formed me in my mothers womb back, back, back in the 50's late 50's :) he made me impulsive and slow. imagine that combination. when faced with hard things to do and say i balk for fear of doing/saying the wrong thing and it is getting worse as i get older...Lord help! but still have moments of impulsivity and leap ahead like last night calling someone to help me with a family situation when after the conversation i felt i should have never called them...no help. therefore...don't act next time because it didn't work last time. ugh. i feel like i'm rambling. love you. many hugs
:) I hear you my friend.
Love Love Love you and your willingness to lay it all out here...
I skipped the line for patience too...I got an extra dose of "I can do it myself"... :)
Hugs
steph.
I haven't heard of the Bethism of "perse-dang-vere"; but I like it and need it.
Thank you for sharing!
I think patience and perse-dang-verance is hard for everyone!
