A bunch of Friday randomness

Hey all my bloggy friends!! Are you not sooooooo happy its Friday??? And, for us it was a very short week since we just started back to school and you'd think we hadn't had a break in weeks the way I'm acting. Woe is us.

Anyway...just a couple of things to get off my chest. And, of course we will read them in a short numbered fashion. We are wild like that.

1. THANK YOU JESUS FOR THE NEW ESTHER BIBLE STUDY!! Did you feel the emotion behind that sentence since it was in all caps and in bold? Mercy, this is going to be one amazing study. I watched the intro session the other day and wanted to stand up and applaud God, Beth Moore, and that session when it was over. SO FIRED UP! Feel free to clap right now on your own if you are excited too.

2. I'm in a season where I'm desperate for a word from God. I've been praying about something for a year now. Still no answers. I have a feeling He's working out some other things while I wait on the big answer. As our beloved Bible teacher says...."just perse-dang-vere." I am and it's about to kill me. *Sigh*

3. We watched the BCS Championship game last night on tv. GO GATORS. GO SEC FOOTBALL. We are sports freaks around here. It might be a little over the top. My husband is so blessed to have such a wonderful wife who just naturally desires to see a good game on tv rather than anything else. *Ahem* So, how about that amazing Tim Tebow? John 3:16 was his Bible verse on his eye black last night. Most times it's Philippians 4:13. I need his parents to write a book. I need Tim Tebow to write a book. The Manning parents wrote a book that I heard was so good and I'm about to pick that up. I just love to see parents raise outstanding kids that become professional athletes and turn out ok and stay ok. WOW!

4. However, those dang "drinkability" commercials that run all over ESPN and really all the major networks are getting on my last nerve. It makes beer drinking look so normal and so yummy. SICK OF IT. I don't want my boys seeing that every stinkin' commercial.

5. My face is so dry. I'm paranoid about too much moisturizer on my chin where the zits like to come. Not so much of them any more, but some things never change as we get older. I may have to bite the bullet and put a dab more than usual on so I don't shed a layer of skin. However, that could be a good thing as I approach 39.

6. Oh yeah...I almost forgot the biggest one of all. As I was learning, praying, spending time with God the other night......I felt His presence and His hand on me and this particular situation so much so that I cried. It was beautiful. It has made me a mess over this super long prayer request though. I just want to walk in His will and His plan and His path over this decision.

Hebrews 12:1 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

Have a great weekend y'all! See you back here on Monday.
Hugs and blessings~

I'm SO happy it's Friday too!

Your post made me smile! Imagine how dry your skin might be if you lived in Colorado! I'm a freak about the moisturizer. And about SEC football. So happy the Gators won.

I'll pray with you and for you, Fran. Waiting is so hard.

Yay, Friday, my fav day of the week. You made me smile, too. "Per-se-dang-vere" is going straight to my Girls' Group of friends who meet on Wednesdays, and I'm telling you, it will be the new catch phrase. Praying God gives you clarity and confirmation.

Hey! I am praying over your "big request"....He is going to make it clear to you soon, I just know it.
With ya on the beer commercials. How many of those can our kids watch without wanting to try it themselves...they look so fun and 'cool'......it is sad that you cant even watch TV anymore much less the commercials! Lets start a protest......
As for the skin thing...I have a zit on my chin....what am I? 12? There should be some benefits to being 36 and one of those benefits should be clear skin. I never even had acne in high school and I have zit at 36? What. Up. With. That????

great post, Fran! I am with you in the perserving (did I spell that right?!) in a prayer area (over Zane) He is so faithful and when he makes his presence known like he did to you, I know how precious that is!! Keep going, friend! It will be worth it - and if you remember the Daniel study, we have NO IDEA what's going on in the heavenlies!!! (and I can not stinkin' wait to do Esther!!!!!!) =)

I am with you in perse-dang-ver, you are his precious daughter and He is so working things out for you. I love the special way He reveals himself, and he knows it will spur us on to believe HIM.
I also caught the eye black John 3:16 and made sure our son took note, it was a blessing on the way to our first bible study.
I love you Fran,
God bless you
Celeste

Totally waiting to start the Esther study too... I am excited.

Also, I know how it feels about the face and acne thing... You would think it just isn't fair to have acne when you are almost 40. I just turned 38 in November, and I just hate that I have to use Pro-Activ :)

Love you girl, Kim

Fran,

I've been praying, hard at times, not so hard at others for over two years now in a family situation. It's tough being a woman...Girlfriend...especially when my family are all unsaved. This is my birth family...siblings/dad. TOUGH...but I'm thankful for God, His Word, my Man, GOD-ly bible teachers like BETH MOORE, for ESTHER, for Girlfriends. Thank you for allowing me to show you, in my own little way...I'm fired up for Esther!! God is all over this "thang"!!!!

Love ya,
Yolanda

Praying for you Fran. I believe you want HIM more than you want an answer. I believe you are finding HIM. Isa 64:4 - God acts in behalf of those who wait for HIM. You're beautiful! The secret code (word verification) is SHOUT.

I blog so you can get a glimpse into my life as wife, mom of 3 boys, and someone who simply wants to bless others along the way. Have fun and be sweet :)
