The dog did it...

I had this up on twitter and maybe even facebook yesterday but in case you missed it....how about a little sympathy, humor, and prayer.....

Because.....

My dog ate my Bible and my Esther workbook and all my journals.

Yes, she did.

I cried.

We won't need to talk about "how" it happened. I'm over it.

I'm thinking that the Bible can be saved with some kind of Bible surgery. I'll probably always be missing pieces of Genesis, but I've got others that I can go to when I need that one. I do need a new leather binder. Apparently puppies love to chew up leather covers on Bibles. Guess they think it's a shoe.

Anyway, you get the idea. It wasn't pretty. And, no, I didn't take a picture. I was way too ticked and sad all at the same time.

So, there you have it. Make sure you put your precious things WAY UP HIGH so cute little puppies can't get them!

Love y'all. Happy weekend!

OK - you are much calmer about this situation than I would be! There is just something about my books, especially my bible. I don't even want to see dust on them! OK, maybe I'm a little too obsessive. But, don't mess with my 'stuff'. Ya know? Bless your sweet heart. I hope all of it is at least 'keepable'. Is that word? Hope your today is better than your yesterday! Rebecca

I am so sorry. That means you are extra special to the dog. My experience is they only chew the stuff of those they really love. I lost some books that my daughter had borrowed when she left them where her dog had access to them. I know it's really hard and you learned a big lesson. God will give you the right attitude..sounds like you are getting there already. Blessings on your week end. In the light of eternity you are having the right attitude. Love you lots...Mary Lou

Unbelievable....I will feel much better in the future when something like this happens to me. So at least know your suffering was meant for someone else's future comfort.

PITIFUL!!!

I just read this to my Chris and he said, "Tell her, if there's a dot or a tiddle missing, that dog will be in trouble."

Ohhhhh....say it ain't so!!

I have to wonder how the phrase "God's word never returns void" would apply in this instance.

Hmmm.

Oh Fran! I'm so sorry, but I'm laughing too, because, well, what can you do?! Did you know Alana's dog ate on her Bible a few months ago? She was NOT happy. :)

Aww Fran I'm so sorry! You've handled it much better than I would have. Praise God the enemy can't touch what God has done in you spiritually! Maybe he had access to your stuff but he doesn't have access to your heart!

I'm SO sorry! According to the 4th session of Esther I remember the question to "What if___?" "Okay... then what?" ... then God will be there to wrap His arms around my friend, Fran. :)

I'm still sorry!
Love you,
Angie xoxo

I have a new puppy, so enough said. Your blog is always a blessing to me.

So glad you stopped by my blog.
Don't forget to stop by again. I am going to have a "card box" giveaway every month. This drawing will be the last day of April.
Every comment you leave throughout the month will enter your name in the drawing, so if you visit several times and leave several comments, you will have a better chance to win. This NEW blogger was so touched by all the comments I got on the Blog Party, that I decided to make this a monthly GIFT...
Also, if you link to my blog telling about the monthly giveaway, you will have your name entered 10 extra times...How is that for an incentive?
I was so blown away by all the responses that I wanted to email each person personally, but TIME...has not permitted..but I did love reading all of them..I am continuing to introduce my family members and then there will be some fun blogs coming up from Disney World in May. I am so thankful for all my new friends.

Oh, no! We have a dog that chews also and she went outside. We couldn't handle having another pair of shoes chewed to shreds! I was staying with my parents in Dallas one weekend and in the middle of the night, the police came knocking on the door. Someone had broken in to our car and left the door standing open. I had my bible study books, bible and notebooks in a huge black bag and I think they thought it was a purse. They took off with it and I was sick about it. But just maybe that bible that was dumped has been picked up by someone that has a great need for it.

I blog so you can get a glimpse into my life as wife, mom of 3 boys, and someone who simply wants to bless others along the way. Have fun and be sweet :)
